Host Tips
We’re super keen to give you everything you need to boss your videos on OOOOO and shout about the products you love whilst making money!
Here’s a few tips to remember whilst filming, editing and uploading your #OOOOOReviews
Keep it real
Honesty is the best policy, so make sure you only review the products you love. Connect with your audience by delivering real, relatable reviews with passion! Engage your audience by getting straight to the point.
Start strong
Your audience loves authenticity and feeling like you’re letting them in on something you’ve just discovered, try not to open your OOOOO review with “I’ve just been sent…” or “I received….”
Make a connection
Don’t talk to the camera lens talk to a person, have someone in your mind that would love the product too. Remember you’re trying to make a connection!
Light It up
What a difference this makes! Check your light sources: where does the best light come from? never record with your back to a window or other light sources. The best light? is natural daylight.
Testing audio 1,2
We want to hear all the juicy details, so your audio quality is crucial. Always start with an audio check: make sure the sound is clear and the volume is up.
Get creative
Include different shots and angles, before and afters, give us a tutorial – We recommend using the app Inshot to edit your videos, easily add text, fun graphics, and stickers.
Boss your bio
This is your first impression! What do you want to tell us about you? The options are endless but any bio you choose has to show off your personality and just how amazing you are.
Got it covered
Your cover photo is your money shot, you should showcase either – the end result, the product or yourself in action!
One man brand
Make sure all eyes are on one brand when you’re reviewing your chosen product. Showcasing other products might confuse or distract shoppers from making a purchase and earning you commission!
Please don't stop the music
As much as we love a bit of Riri, unfortunately we don’t have the rights to have popular chart music on OOOOO at the moment, so please make sure it’s royalty-free when adding it to your edits!
#NOFILTERNEEDED
Record your reviews without any face filters. Not only can they reduce the resolution and quality of the videos when uploaded on OOOOO, but shoppers prefer to see the real, authentic you and how the product really looks when you use it!
Flip it
Once you’ve recorded your video, ensure the product you’re showing off isn’t flipped backwards in your video. Double-check it’s the right way up and the writing on the product isn’t backwards before uploading!
Keep in frame
As the videos on OOOOO are watched in full-screen by shoppers, make sure that any text or stickers that you may add to your videos are within the cropped boundary. The image above shows you how you can choose the correct dimensions (5.8”) in InShot to ensure nothing gets cropped out without the use of borders.
Steal the spotlight
Currently, the OOOOO app can only support tagging one product per video. If you’re reviewing a shampoo and conditioner, for example, remember to make a video for each one. Watch this space though, as we’re hoping to switch this up very soon…
Don't forget to share
The quickest way to build your OOOOO following is to share links with your current social followers. Make sure you use the hashtag #oooooreview and mention @ooooo so we can find you and share your content too!
